Liliane Larson is the Executive Director for the Blum Center for Developing Economies at UC Davis

Lili Larson

Liliane or “Lili” is a Brazilian citizen with more than 12 years of experience in international education, including leading positions with the British Council, the United Nations, and Laureate International Universities.  She was the Director of International Affairs and the Global Career Center for Laureate Brazil. She worked in 30 countries and established the International Office responsible for 11 Brazilian universities (with a total enrollment of 130,000 students).

Lili has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, another Bachelor’s Degree in Law, an MBA, an Associate’s Degree in the Internationalization of Higher Education Institutions, and training in English as a Second Language.  She is fluent in English, Spanish, and, of course, Portuguese.

Her responsibilities at the Blum Center include the management of the Center’s grants programs for undergraduate/graduate students and faculty. She oversees marketing and communications strategy for the Center, and fundraising efforts. Lili is responsible for the development of an expanded portfolio of undergraduate courses, facilitating growth of the D-Lab campus programs, and the implementation of its projects abroad. Among her responsibilities are the organization of speakers’ series and the coordination of events related to poverty alleviation and social innovation. Together with the Blum Center's General Director, Professor Lovell Jarvis (Tu), Lili takes part in developing strategic partnerships and expanding the Center’s activities.
