Hi, my name is Juliet Chicas! I’m currently a third year, double majoring in International Relations and Sociology. I’m from South Central Los Angeles, but I’ve lived in a small town by Sacramento called Rio Linda as well as Guatemala. When I'm not busy with school, I enjoy spending time with my friends, going to overpriced coffee shops, watching my favorite tv shows, and online window shopping. On campus, I’m involved with Guitar Club, IRSA (International Relations Student Association), and tCru.

Living in Guatemala was my first global experience. I was able to develop a strong sense of global awareness and appreciation for learning about new cultures at a young age. Since both of my parents were born in Guatemala, I also grew a stronger connection to my heritage. I developed a new passion for traveling and learning about other cultures as a result of this experience.

Working at the Global Learning Hub gives me the opportunity to explore what global learning means to me and to support others who want to have a global experience, whatever that looks like for them. Please reach out to me if you have any questions!
